Generic Heartgard Plus Without Prescription

For those savvy shoppers that want to make even more cost savings, choose generic Heartgard Plus without prescription. These are relatively new, since generics are not permitted until the original brand has been licensed and on the market for some time. But now that they are here, many pet owners are enjoying the great discounts that the generic heartworm pills offer.

The generic have another advantage (as well as the great price), over their branded rivals; they are available as both chewable treat and as regular tablet. This means that even dogs with beef allergies can benefit from the heartworm prevention and intestinal wormer in Heartgard Plus, so long as you avoid the chewable versions containing real beef.

Are Generics As Good As Original Heartgard Plus?

Many people worry that choosing a generic means settling for an inferior product. Happily this is not the case. The FDA regulate generics just like branded products. The manufacturer have to prove they are using the same active ingredient, in the same volume and of the same quantity because the FDA require that generic pet medicines be interchangeable with the branded original.

That means a dog being given a brand or a generic heartworm preventative will receive identical protection from the disease, in a product that is safe for them to take. It means that you can buy Heartgard Plus or a generic and your dog will receive exactly the same benefits.
