Additional information about the cats listed can be obtained by calling 508-473-7008. The shelter Web site is www.milfordhumane.org. All Milford Humane cats have been given rabies and distemper shots, have been spayed or neutered and have been tested for FIV and FeLV.

VIOLET is a 2-year-old shorthaired tortie. She came to the shelter with kittens  and is a little shy but very sweet.

REGINALD is a 3-month-old black and white kitten. He came to the shelter with three siblings. He has a very sweet personality, although his siblings are a little shy.

IZZIE AND BELLE are 2-year-old sisters. They were returned to the shelter when their human mother died and the rest of the family didn’t want them. They are cute shorthaired calicos, and one has a bobtail. They would like to be placed together.

CHIPPY is a longhaired, 11-year-old male. He was surrendered when his owner became ill.

MIDNITE is a 3-year-old, shorthaired female. She is very petite and has Siamese-like features. She is a nice girl and is FIV positive.

JOEY AND JOSEPH are cute white and tiger-striped brothers. They are shorthaired about a year old. They are a little shy and would like to stay together in a relatively quiet home. They would be fine with other animals.

SWEETNESS is an 11-year-old calico. She is short haired and would be good company for an older person. She would be most comfortable in an adult home.

CHARLOTTE is a Siamese mix with a bob tail. She’s about 3 years old. She is a beautiful cat but she doesn’t show well at the shelter because she dislikes other cats. We know that in a home she has an entirely different personality if someone would give her a chance.

TWEED is a shorthaired black and white female. She was stray and has learned to like people since she first came to the shelter. She loves other cats and would enjoy living with her friend Co Co.

ALVIN is a Jack Russell/miniture Schnauzer mix. He is about a year old and was abandonned with his pal Max.

APRIL is a petite Lab mix. She is about a year old and very sweet.

BARNABY is a 2-year-old beagle. He is very cuddly.

FREESIA is a sweet 1-year-old female Lab mix.  This sweetheart is a shy, sensitive girl who needs a calm patient home preferably with another dog.

MORRIE is an adorable 8-year-old male cocker spaniel mix.  He was originally found as a stray. Even though he is a little older he still loves to play with his tennis balls and go for walks. Morrie is so sweet and loves to give kisses.

PENNY is a beautiful 5-year-old boxer/mastiff mix.  She is very low key and would do great with older children and other dogs.

KEEBLER is an adorable  2-year-old female Australian cattle dog.  Once she gets to know you she is the most loyal, loving dog you can find. She needs exercise and structure, so an active owner with some dog experience will be best. She loves to run in the yard and has a great time herding the others into a small group and then letting them scatter again. The shelter staff adores her and think she is awesome.

ELMER is a wonderful 2-year-old German shorthaired pointer mix. Elmer is a very special boy. He was spotted in the woods in Western Massachusetts for several weeks before finally being caught. Elmer was in very rough shape. He was fighting a bad infection, completely emaciated and loaded with ticks.

That’s not the worst of it. Elmer, unfortunately, also has heartworm.

Baypath needs a special person to help Elmer through his heartworm treatment in the comfort of a home. This boy is SUCH a sweetheart. He does not have a mean bone in his body. He is skittish and shy with humans, but does wag his tail when he sees them. He absolutely LOVES the company of other dogs. He would do so well in a multi-dog household. He must go to a home with a fenced in yard since this guy loves to be outside. His favorite place to hide is in the bushes. Elmer is housetrained.

CHARA is a gorgeous 1-year-old Lab/smooth collie mix. She loves people and other dogs and walks great on a leash.

BECKETT is a handsome 1 1/2-year old Lab/smooth collie mix.  He loves peopleand other dogs and walks great on a leash.

LOLLIE is a beautiful 8-month-old female Lab mix.  Lollie is full of energy and life. We believe she is deaf but she doesn’t find that to be a problem. She loves to play and give as many kisses as she can fit in. A wonderful young pup.

WELKER is a wonderful 7-month-old hound mix.  Welker is a happy, healthy, playful pup. He is one of the most loving, affectionate dogs we have ever met. He loves to be held and hugged, and gives kisses eagerly to anyone who will allow it.

NOODLE is a wonderful 2-year-old male shepherd/terrier mix. He is fun-loving, energetic guy. He loves to play fetch and go for walks. Noodle is looking for someone who will give him lots of love and spend time playing with him.

MISSY is a sweet 4-year-old greyhound/pointer mix. Missy loves people and bonds quickly and easily. She is very loving to humans but would do best in a home without other animals. Missy’s story is very sad her previous owner is unable to care for her and provide her with what she needs.

SMOKEY is a young adult male tiger with white. He is short haired, friendly and likes other cats.

GUS is an older kitten. He is a long haired, black male. Gus, along with his mother and brother were trapped this past January following one of the many major snowstorms we had. All of them were cold, hungry and very frightened.

Mom and brother have been adopted and Gus is learning many things, like how to trust people and how to play. He has caught on very well to the playing part since he now has a new best friend in Frosty. They are both very cute together and worthy of a wonderful home.
