A class action lawsuit may affect your rights if you purchased Innova, EVO, California Natural, HealthWise, Mother Nature, or Karma dog or cat food products during the time period from March 20, 2005 to July 8, 2011.

Ko v. Natura Pet Products, Inc., Case No. 5:09-cv-02619 is a class action lawsuit in which Plaintiffs claim Natura violated California’s Business and Professions Code when advertising their dog and cat food products. It also claims that Natura made false and misleading statements about the human grade quality of its food in its advertisements, promotional materials and labeling. The Defendants deny that they did anything wrong.

P.S. I don’t know all of the specifics of the case, so I am unable to comment on the claims- although a settlement usually means the company is conceding to some of the claims and is willing to pay out as opposed to going to court.

P.P.S. It is ultimately up to you as a concerned pet owner to QUESTION what you are hearing- be it from a Pet Supply Store Employee, TV Commercial, or Veterinarian.

I advise that you start with my Manual of Natural Dog and Cat Health Care. In it I give specific directions on WHAT foods are BEST to feed your pet, including my safe and advised pet food list:
